Meet Rabbi Moshe
Rabbi Moshe Schwartz has served as Head of School at Krieger Schechter Day School (KSDS) since 2015, bringing with him a deep commitment to Jewish education, community, and leadership. He holds a BA, cum laude, from Brandeis University and received both rabbinic ordination and an MA in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2007.
Prior to joining KSDS, Rabbi Moshe led Kellman Brown Academy in Cherry Hill, NJ, as Head of School. He also served as Director of Jewish Life and Rabbi-in-Residence at Schechter Long Island, where he was honored with the prestigious SREL Fellowship. A proud alumnus of the Day School Leadership Training Institute, Rabbi Moshe has continued his professional growth through the Principal’s Center at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and earned a certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School in 2021.
His connection to KSDS began in 2011 when he participated in the school’s re-accreditation process as a member of the AIMS visiting team. Today, he continues to guide the school with vision and heart, now in his 11th year of leadership.
Rabbi Moshe and his wife, Aviva are the proud parents of three KSDS graduates: Elie, Liba, and Rina. A lifelong New York Jets fan, he invites your sympathy and perhaps a few good-natured suggestions for a new team.
